Try this Creamy Dijon Chicken, you'll not regret! The mustard sauce combines perfectly with the chicken for an easy and quick dinner recipe.

For the chicken

4 chicken thighs

4 cloves of garlic (minced)

1/2 red onion (diced)

2 tablespoons dijon mustard (or the one you have)

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

Fresh parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Marinade

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Cook the chicken with the spices and olive oil in a pan on medium high heat for 5-7 minutes each side. When the chicken is cooked, set it aside in another container.
  2. In the same skillet, add the butter and sauté onions until translucent, then add the garlic and stir for 1 more minute.
  3. Stir in the dijon mustard, broth and let cook for few minutes. Then lower the heat to medium heat and pour in the heavy cream.
  4. Add the cooked chicken in the sauce and let simmer for few minutes until the sauce is smooth and silky.

  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, longer if possible, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken, which needs to reach 170°F to be properly cooked. If you leave it on the heat too long, the chicken may become dry and tough.
