Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of chicken breast
  • 1 onion
  • 5-6 tablespoons of cheese
  • 1.5 cups of cream
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard
  • Spices: salt, black pepper, basil, paprika, 1 teaspoon of each

Instructions

  1. Heat a little oil or butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent and lightly browned.
  2. Add the diced chicken to the pan and sauté briefly until lightly browned. Stir regularly to ensure even cooking.
  3. When the water released by the chicken is almost absorbed, season with salt, black pepper, basil and paprika to taste. Mix well to coat chicken pieces with spices.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cream to the pan. Add the mustard for extra flavor. Stir gently to incorporate all ingredients.
  5. Simmer the chicken in the creamy sauce for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Just before serving, sprinkle the grated cheese or add the cheese pieces on top of the creamed chicken. Cover the pan for a few minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
  7. Serve hot and accompany this delicious creamy chicken dish with rice, pasta or vegetables, as you prefer.
