Description

A deliciously tasty, creamy salmon pan. Tender pieces of salmon are browned to perfection and served with a creamy sauce based on crème fraîche. A dish that will delight the taste buds and delight salmon lovers.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound fresh salmon: Tender, flavorful pieces.
  • 1 onion: Mild, slightly sweet flavor.
  • 1 red bell pepper: A touch of freshness and color.
  • 2 handfuls spinach: For a touch of greenness and light bitterness.
  • 1 cup liquid cream: For a creamy, velvety texture.
  • Juice of half a lemon: A touch of refreshing acidity.
  • Spices 1 tsp each (salt, paprika, black pepper): An aromatic blend to enhance flavors.

Instructions

  1. Preparing the salmon: Cut the salmon into pieces and season with red pepper, salt and black pepper. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and briefly fry the salmon for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside.
  2. Cooking the vegetables: In the same pan, add the onion and diced peppers. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until slightly tender.
  3. Add the spinach: Add the spinach to the pan with the vegetables. Season to taste and cook for about 1-2 minutes until slightly wilted.
  4. Deglaze with cream: Pour the liquid cream into the pan and stir to combine all the ingredients. Simmer for about 2 minutes to allow the cream to absorb the flavors of the vegetables.
  5. Adding the salmon: Return the salmon pieces to the pan with the cream sauce and vegetables. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes to warm the salmon and coat it with the sauce.

Notes

  • Cooking times are approximate and may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon pieces and the desired texture of the vegetables. Be sure to keep an eye on the cooking process for tasty, well-cooked results.
  • Make sure you don't overcook the salmon: Fry the salmon pieces briefly to retain their tenderness and flavor. They may be slightly translucent in the center when you remove them from the pan, as they will continue to cook slightly during reheating with the cream sauce.
