Sweet and Spicy Korean Chicken

Superb, mild, (a little spicy) and very tasty, this Korean Chicken has it all. We give you all our tips for cooking this super-easy, quick and accessible recipe.


Units Scale


  • 800g chicken
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 30g cornflour
  • 50ml soy sauce
  • 50ml water
  • 30g honey
  • 1 tsp Gochujang paste


  • 1/2 sliced cucumber
  • 20ml soy sauce
  • 10ml rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds


  • Rice (or any other you like)


  1. In a skillet, cook chicken for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, pour in the soy sauce, honey and gochujang. Bring to a simmer and reduce. The sauce should thicken.
  3. Add the reserved chicken to the sauce and stir until coated and the sauce holds to the chicken. 
  4. For the salad, combine cucumber slices, garlic powder, soy sauce, vinegar and sesame seeds. Mix well.
  5. Dress the chicken, side dish of your choice and salad. You're ready to eat, bon appétit!


  • Chili flakes and gochujang paste are quite spicy. You can use them as you like!
